The Aurora Nordic Ski Club is an active, progressive cross country ski club located at St. Anthony, Newfoundland. The club, which has a membership of more than 180 members, is administered by a volunteer executive committee. The organization grooms more than 20 km of trails for classic and skate skiing on a regular basis during the winter months. 2.5 km of which is lit for Night Skiing from 7 - 9pm Monday to Friday. Snowshoers are also welcome. Facilities include a heated, fully-functional lodge, including a ski and snowshoe rental room, kitchen and waxing room. The club uses a Bombardier BR-180 and two Skandic snowmachines with JACA equipment to groom trails. The club has an active Jackrabbit program and a race team. The club invites you to become a member or take advantage of the well-groomed trails and beautiful scenery. Visitors can purchase day or weekend passes at reasonable rates.
